We named this guy George. He is a well know stag that hangs around the main parking area for Horton Plains. George and 2 other male deer have decided that pandering to toursists is a fair exchange for food. They are wild deer but choose the comfortable life :-). While we were taking a break I noticed a mound which I thought George would walk to with encouragement from a couple of apples from our hotel lunch packs. After noshing on apples he demonstarted his understanding of the deal and duly obliged with a pose as I lay on the ground at the base of the mound. A super opportunity to photograph a 'wild' animal.
